"Pathfinders Edu Consultancy is a Fraud": The Truth Behind this Toxic Review
I have always been one of the Nigerians (with an online business) who believed we actually need some sort of system to curb the scamming online businesses in Nigeria so they dont totally ruin the online business space for Nigerians who run their business online and they are actually truthful with it. We all know we will all have to embrace online transactions sooner or later without having to see the person we are paying to, yet trusting they will deliver, but before we get there, we will first need the ones spoiling that space to not overshadow the ones committed to building it.
But, unfortunately when Nigerian customers begin to realise
they have so much power to damage a business with a bad online review, they
started using it as a leverage to holding businesses to ransom—no business person wants a
disgruntled or bulling person going online to give their business a bad review, so a business person trying to let peace reign instead of ending up with a
bad review that could be untrue but yet still be able to ruin their business, would be left vulnerable to a bullying customer.
This is exactly what the case of this man, Mr. Nathaniel Nwankwo, who made this post (screenshot attached below) was. For the purpose of his own privacy, I will not mention his job he gave us nor his school where we were to do the job (lest it becomes necessary I have to let all chats and recorded calls out). Yes, he paid the sum of #300,000 for this said job, and yes, only the sum of #150,000 was refunded to him after a FORESEEN and FOREWARNED contingency happened and we couldn’t complete the job—even after over 80% of the fund he paid was already spent on fulfilling this job; bare in mind we werent going to take job because we were already not taking taking such jobs as the resources we needed to achieve success on such job werent available at this time, but he wanted us to help him risk it. The unfortunate happened, but (based on agreements) we bared a part of the loss; this man, instead of wanting to bare a part of the loss too, became a problem in no time, leaving up to 27 calls per hour every day; this is why his number got blocked to stop him from stopping us from working.
We tried to achieve what he needed on his academic documents, but unfortunately, as projected and earlier predicted to him things might go (because of the shuffling of staff that happened at his alma mater at the time, and why we couldnt complete his job) the man threw away everything he initially agreed to when he wanted us to take his job by all means, and his approach changed fast because he was so concerned about getting 100% of his money back even after we had already spent over 90% of the money on things concerning this job and to people we cannot retrieve it from. He decided to go to war with the business because of that, and funny enough, we are ready for this too… we will ride on this bad PR and use it to even better the business… our records speak louder than a toxic review. The #150,000 balance will not be paid (because we now have to hold on to the fact that he was forewarned of how the job might go and what would happen if it doesnt go well, and he agreed to everything). This business that has been providing solutions home and abroad since 2017 will ride on his online threats and will become even more famous because of this.
